Made in authentic Scottish tartan, our Reissues shirt takes its cue from the subcultural uniform. Made in a crisp cotton poplin, with typical button-down shirt details.
Crisp cotton poplin / Authentic Scottish tartan design / Cross-cut placket, yoke and pocket / Button-down collar / Vintage-style two-hole buttons
The Reissues collection takes the Fred Perry archive as its starting point. Each piece references the styles and stories of the subcultural uniform. Originally worn as a symbol of the wearer’s clan, tartan signified the life of the gentry and the wearer’s long and noble heritage. The adoption of tartan into streetwear in the ‘60s was a metaphorical two fingers to the establishment. An original Scottish tartan features here on our button-down shirt. It still forms a key part of the subcultural uniform.
